Explore UGM Cultural Heritage Through Tour De Heritage UGM
Museum Universitas Gadjah Mada organizes Tour De Heritage UGM as an effort to introduce various cultural heritages that are located on the UGM campus. The Tour De Heritage activity will be held for four days on 16-19 November 2021.
UGM Museum Manager, Dra. D. S. Nugrahani, M. A., explained that the Tour De Heritage UGM is a program aimed at introducing the UGM Museum to the UGM community and the wider community. In addition, this program is expected to introduce various cultural heritage buildings owned by UGM.
"Previously, we held the UGM De Heritage Tour by cycling and for this activity we used the GATe electric car developed by the UGM Faculty of Engineering to explore the campus," he said, Tuesday (16/11).
In the Tour De Heritage UGM program this time, the tour participants were invited to tour the UGM Museum. Then, by driving an electric car GATE to several cultural heritage locations such as Grha Sabha Pramana UGM, UGM Headquarters, ancient wells at the Faculty of Biology UGM, Pancadharma Building, Vocational School UGM, and the UGM housing complex. During the trip, participants were given an explanation by the guide regarding the locations visited.
Tour De Heritage UGM is a program that is open to the public. In this event, a quota of 19 people is opened every day to take part in the UGM De Heritage Tour. This program received quite a positive response from the community. The proof is that the opened daily quota has been fully filled by registrants until the last day.
One of the tour participants, Deviana, who is a student of DTEDI SV UGM class of 2021, said that she was very happy to be able to join the Tour De Heritage UGM program. The program helped him get to know UGM more closely.
鈥淭his activity is quite interesting and through this program I can see UGM directly because previously I could only see the UGM campus virtually during PPSMB. I also learned that UGM has a museum,鈥� he said.
He hopes that in the future this program can continue to be held regularly. Besides that, it is held with a longer time so that you can explore more various places at UGM.
