No one would have thought that the brands known worldwide are actually from Indonesia. Many even mistakenly believe that some of these brands originate from abroad because they often use foreign languages.
The following 10 brands are from the homeland:

J.CO is under the Johnny Andrean Group. The first J.CO store opened in May 2006. In 2007, J.CO opened its first store in Malaysia. In 2008, it expanded to Singapore, 2012 in the Philippines, 2016 in Hong Kong, and 2018 in Saudi Arabia.
2. CFC (California Fried Chicken) operates under PT Pioneerindo Gourmet International Tbk (formerly PT Putra Sejahtera Pioneerindo).

According to its official website, this restaurant was established in 1983 in Jakarta and was one of Indonesia's first-generation companies to introduce fast food restaurant concepts.

In 1992, the company opened a factory in Tangerang. That same year, Indah Jaya started exporting to Japan.
5. Silverqueen isn't actually chocolate from abroad; its factory is located in Garut, West Java. It was initially owned by Ming Chee Chuang, a Burmese-born Chinese descendant who lived in Garut and acquired the chocolate company NV Ceres from the Dutch.

Silverqueen continued to grow and gain international recognition. Chuang, as he aged, entrusted the company's development to the next generation.

9. HokBen This fast food restaurant specializing in Japanese cuisine was founded on April 18, 1985, under the license of PT Bogainti. It first opened in Kebon Kacang, Jakarta.
