Minutes after US President Joe Biden declared his withdrawal from the 2024 race, former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump conveyed to CNN via phone that Biden would go down as "the absolute worst president in the history of our country."

Trump expressed confidence during the call that Vice President Kamala Harris would prove to be a less formidable opponent compared to Biden.

Continuing his critique on his social media platform Truth Social, the former president pledged to swiftly repair what he claimed was significant harm inflicted on the US during Biden's tenure, upon his return to office.
“Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve - And never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement. All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t,” Trump wrote.
