Time Based Arts was asked to contribute to Poor Things, the latest vision of film maker Yorgos Lanthimos. We were introduced to the project by DOP Robbie Ryan whom we had worked with on Medusa Deluxe, Tom Hardiman's debut feature. We worked closely with production designers Shona Heath and James Price in crafting what would become the six chapter cards and main title card for the film.It was an amazingly creative project to collaborate on as we were able to bring ideas and methodology in approach to both the shoot planning and post production stages. We had to strike a balance in creating images that echoed the photographic and analog world of early Victorian collage, whilst never feeling digital. The beautiful typography for the main titles was created by Vasilis Marmatakis. We're super proud of our small part in this amazing film.
