Honda was the first Japanese car manufacturer to launch its own luxury car brand, namely Acura, in 1986. Apart from producing cars and motorbikes, Honda also produces garden tools, marine engines, personal water vehicles, electric generators, etc. Since 1986, Honda has been involved in artificial intelligence or robotics research, and launched the ASIMO robot in 2000. Honda also expanded into the aerospace sector by establishing GE Honda Aero Engines in 2004 and starting to produce the Honda HA-420 HondaJet in 2012.
