Kangnam Corporation is a South Korean shipyard specializing in advanced defense and commercial vessel construction, particularly in the development of Mine Countermeasure Vessels (MCMVs) like mine hunters and mine sweepers. Established as a defense industry shipyard by the Korean Ministry of National Defense in 1975, Kangnam collaborates closely with the Korean Navy and defense research organizations.
