This mosque was originally founded in 1991 in a shophouse. The establishment of this mosque began with da'wah efforts among ethnic Chinese in DKI Jakarta. In 1994, this mosque was expanded into two shophouses and then inaugurated by the Chairman of the Association of Indonesian Muslim Scholars, B. J. Habibie.
