Longhua Temple is a Buddhist temple dedicated to Maitreya Buddha in Shanghai. Although most of the current building dates from later reconstruction, the temple retains the architectural design of a Song Dynasty monastery of the Chan School. This is the largest ancient temple complex in the city of Shanghai.
