This mosque is one of the historical buildings built in the early era of the emergence of the new order. Giving the name ARH itself, explained Vishnu, was a tribute to UI Faculty of Medicine student, Arif Rahman Hakim, who died during a demonstration in front of the presidential palace. The establishment of this mosque began with the desire to increase UI's Islamic spiritual activities on major religious holidays in Indonesia.
