The necropolis consists of family tombs and of unrelated sarcophagi as at the Great Necropolis of Porto. The sarcophagi are scattered about or lined up along the road, but the latter is a modern positioning, most likely influenced by the Alyscamps (Elysian Fields), a road with sarcophagi outside Arles.
