Montale, the Third Tower, is the smallest of San Marino’s three towers and is not open to the public. Built in the 14th century, it served as a lookout and prison. Though less accessible than the other towers, Montale offers a peaceful spot for viewing the surrounding landscapes and reflecting on San Marino’s medieval past. Its secluded location adds to its mystique.
