The Ziggurat of Ur is a Neo-Sumerian ziggurat located in the city of Ur, near Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Province, Iraq. The structure was built in the Early Bronze Age, but was already in ruins by the 6th century BC during the Neo-Babylonian period before being restored by King Nabonidus.
